Pioneers: Beijing to Istanbul Team

PIONEERS: BEIJING TO ISTANBUL

APRIL – JULY 2016

This Kingdom Journeys Pioneers trip will be a four-month pioneering trip from Beijing to Istanbul, moving from Beijing through Western China, into the ‘stans’ of Central Asia, and across the Caspian Sea into the Caucasus, and finally through Turkey. The team will help gather on-the-ground information for Adventures in Missions in this region about the following: potential hosts and contacts, opportunity for ministry, costs and risk, overland transportation options, and border crossings. Our hope is to create traction along this path for future teams and World Race squads, increasing our capacity and ability for engagement in this region.

Aidi Lara:

Aidi grew up in Southeast Florida and has worked as a Hair Stylist/Colorist for 15 years. She has been blessed with an amazing church family and a solid group of loving friends. She loves the beach and being in nature. Four years ago, God began taking her on a journey, revealing His purpose for her life. He has placed big dreams and ideas in her heart and she is seeking Him on how to take those next steps. She has experienced the light and love of Christ like never before and wants to lead others in experiencing that as well.

Nic Mizeur:

Nic grew up in Moline, IL and has a huge passion for worship, overseas missions, and seeing people become the best Christ-follower they can be. After finishing the Race in 2015, Nic pursued his joy of working with youth and children, spending some time substitute teaching and helping coach high school cross country. He is stoked to be on the KJ team pioneering through Central Asia and reaching people in hard-to-reach areas; this type of ministry and service is something that he has always desired to do.

Zach Murphy:

Zach grew up in Upstate, NY, however his philosophy is to never stay in one place for too long. Being born into a missionary family in Kenya, overseas missions is in his blood. He has had the opportunity to serve alongside his family in Africa for many years and with many short term ministries all over the world, including a year on the World Race. His passion is to pioneer new routes for upcoming World Race teams in some of the hardest to reach places of the world, so that the love of Christ and his sacrifice for us can be shared with all of God’s people.
